World Summer Games

Special Olympics Summer World Games are held once in every 4 years. Athletes train themselves and strive to give their best at such a high level of competitions. The Special Olympics World Games are the largest competitive games organised for athletes with Intellectual Disability around the world. Athletes compete in 33 Olympic types of sport.

Such opportunity is a life changing experience, not only for athletes themselves but also for their relatives. It is also serves as a life time experience for the coaches and volunteers involved in the games. All involved attend to support and cheer the skills and accomplishments of people with Intellectual Disability.

For every World Games, around 7000 athletes are hosted from over 170 countries around the world. Around 3000 coaches, 30000 volunteers and 500000 spectators participate in such World Games.
