Official Yuletide cards designed by Special Olympics athletes

The designs on the covers of the Christmas Cards being sent out by the Office of the Prime Minister have been designed by Special Olympics athletes.

Angels, the birth of Jesus, Messages of Peace and Festive Decorations will decorate the covers of the six cards chosen from among 20 designs by the Office of the Prime Minister, for mailing on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.

The designs are the work of Special Olympics athletes, who in a meeting with the Prime Minister and his wife explained the concepts which inspired them in their designs, as well as the messages they wanted to convey.

The Prime Minister had words of praise for the children’s abilities, which he said showed creative skills in putting together significant motifs about the festive season, and in bringing out its real meaning in the designs. The Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat appealed to children to use their talents to assist vulnerable persons, particularly during the festive season.
